I have to renew my faith in the world of goodness out there and more in particular, my wonderful circle of friends and the general flute world. My former student, Jillian Larson, mentioned in previous postings, was able to collect over $1300 from her fund raising efforts (http://gogetfunding.com/project/help-keep-my-music-alive). I also want to thank those people who instituted the website called GoGetFunding.com that made it all possible to make Jillian's plight known and to make it simple for people to give her a hand.
There were also offers from the generous flute industry to help Jill purchase an instrument. She has taken advantage of one, but the wonderful person helping us out has asked us for anonymity.
